Blue NAP Americas has become the first regional data center to receive Tier-IV certification, which is the highest level of certification for data centers in the world. The Tier classification system determines the level of redundancy in a data center, with a higher certification level meaning better continuity and availability. Thanks to the Tier-IV certification, companies can now enjoy world-class management and operations and 100% uptime for all critical resources.
“We worked closely with the Uptime Institute to ensure that the design met the very strict Tier-IV certification requirements,” says Andres Vasquez, Global Segment Director, Schneider Electric. “We supported Blue NAP Americas with the design, budget approvals, construction, startup, and launch of operations. The critical aspect of any data center, especially a Tier-IV certified one, is the critical electrical power supply, distribution, and management.”
